Ellis Finishes in Top Five at AQHYA Youth World Championship Show

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M incoming freshman Avery Ellis rode to a fifth-place finish in a group of 186 competitors in western horsemanship at the American Quarter Horse Youth Association (AQHYA) Youth World Championship Show this month in Oklahoma City.

Ellis (College Station, Texas) also finished in the top 15 at the AQHYA World Show in trail, finishing 13th in the group of 161 riders. The local product and her horse Consider Duplicated totaled a score of 167 in western horsemanship for an impressive finish that ranked them ahead of 181 entrants at the top AQHYA event of the season. Ellis and Consider Duplicated tallied 210 points in trail to top 148 competitors.
