Pluhar to Represent Texas A&M at AQHA Collegiate Challenge

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M equestrian rising junior Logan Pluhar was chosen by the National Collegiate Equestrian Association (NCEA) to compete in the 2014 American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) Horsemanship Challenge at the AQHA World Championship Show, Nov. 19-20 in Oklahoma City.

Pluhar joins eight other NCEA athletes from eight different universities in the competition, as a part of the AQHA Amateur World Show. Riders were picked based on 2013-14 individual statistics in horsemanship.

The Canyon, Texas, native led the Texas A&M horsemanship squad with a 72.85 score average and an 8-5 record on the year, including a 6-2 mark against league opponents. The then-sophomore also earned two Most Outstanding Player awards on the year.

The preliminaries take place Wednesday, November 19 beginning at 11 a.m. CT, while the finals are set for 5:30 p.m. CT on Thursday, November 20.
