 Jewel May

Jewel May joined the Athletics Department in 2013 and works as an assistant in the Center for Student-Athlete Services. In her role, she is responsible for coordinating the life skills program, which prepares student-athletes for life and careers after sports, and assists in advising for the track and field program.

A native of Conyers, Georgia, May was a three-year starter for the South Carolina women's basketball team--appearing in 118 games for the Gamecocks. She graduated in 2011 with degrees in psychology and sociology and was honored with the NCAA Ethnic Minority and Women's Enhancement Post-Graduate Scholarship and the SEC's Brad Davis Community Service Post-Graduate Scholarship.

Upon graduation, May took a job as a graduate assistant at USC in the life skills program. She is a member of the American School Counselors Association and a board member for Aggie Allies. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, music, sports, baking, crafting and coaching youth basketball teams.
