COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The National Collegiate Equestrian Association (NCEA) recently announced the placement of six Texas A&M equestrian horses to the 2013-14 Top Horses list.

Equitation on the flat horses Hamlet, Callisto and Gideon impressed opponents to make the hunter seat list. On the western side, Bueno Sixty Six (aka Thor) took honors for reining and horsemanship ponies Larking With Style (aka Lark) and Hobos Lil Remedy (aka Hobo)were awarded spots on the list.

The NCEA chose the 10 most impressive horses in each of the four events - reining, horsemanship, equitation on the flat, and equitation over fences.  These horses are chosen by the NCEA selection committee based on a formula similar to the student-athlete awards that are announced during the regular season.  All horses selected were nominated by the opposing schools at each meet and have shown at least three times during the regular season.
