COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Spaces remain available for two of three Texas A&M Equestrian Camps this summer, the team announced today. Due to popular demand, a third week of camp has been added this year for a hunter seat camp, June 20-21, and the Aggie equestrian beginner camp, June 7-8, has not yet reached capacity. Both camps will take place at the brand new Thomas G. Hildebrand DVM ’56 Equine Complex.
To register for either camp, go to AggieAthletics.com/camps. Riders in both camps must be 12-18 years of age. Campers should be dropped off and picked up each day, as both sessions are day camps and lodging will not be provided.
Both two-day clinics cost $500 and include instruction from some of the country’s top riders and coaches, food and drinks each day, and experience on the Aggie equestrian horses with team tack.
For health and safety purposes, hunter seat participants should be competing at a minimum of 2’6, and should arrive wearing ASTM-approved helmets, breeches and tall boots. Western riders must be dressed in jeans and boots, and should have some show appearance, but not necessarily in horsemanship or reining specifically.
