COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Texas A&M Aggies travel to Houston on Saturday to play a pair of exhibition matches at Rice University Track/Soccer Stadium.

The Aggies will face LSU in a 2 pm mini-match slated for 45 minutes of action. After a short respite, the Maroon and White will play Rice at 4 pm.

Texas A&M has played three full-length exhibitions this spring. They toppled the Houston Aces South Select, 4-0, in College Station on March 19 and then dropped a pair of matches to the newly minted Houston Dash of the National Women’s Soccer League, 1-0, on March 22 in Houston and, 3-1, last Wednesday at Ellis Field.

LSU is coming off a 9-9-2 campaign, including a 5-5-1 mark in SEC action. The Aggies edged the Tigers 3-2 on the final day of league play in 2013 to secure a share of their first-ever SEC regular-season title.

Rice is coached by former A&M standout Nicky (Thrasher) Adams. The Owls finished the 2013 campaign with a 7-8-3 overall mark and a 5-4-1 ledger in Conference USA action.

The Maroon and White finished the 2013 season ranked No. 8 in the NSCAA Coaches Poll. A&M posted an 18-5-2 record for the year, claimed their first-ever SEC regular-season title with a 9-2-0 league ledger and captured an SEC Tournament crown. The Aggies appeared in their 19th consecutive NCAA Division I Championship, advanced to the Second Round for the 16th consecutive year and appeared in the Sweet 16 for the 12th time in program history.
