No. 8 Texas A&M set to Face No. 18 Vanderbilt Sunday

NASHVILLE, TENN. – The No. 8 Texas A&M men’s tennis team continues their four match SEC road stand against the No. 18 Vanderbilt Commodores Sunday at the Currey Tennis Center at noon.

The Aggies (11-5, 2-1) look to bounce back after suffering a 4-0 defeat to No. 22 Kentucky Friday evening in Lexington. The Commodores (11-2, 2-0) return to league action after defeating Ball State 6-1 at home Friday.

Sunday’s match is set to feature five ranked singles players and two of the top five doubles teams in the country. The maroon and white enlist the top-ranked doubles team of Junior Ore and Jackson Withrow, while the Commodores feature the No. 5 tandem of Gonzales Austin and Ryan Lipman. A&M features three top-40 singles players in Harrison Adams (11), Shane Vinsant (26) and Jeremy Efferding (38).

In last season’s match-up the Aggies bested the Commodores 5-2 at the Mitchell Tennis Center in College Station. Efferding, Adams and Vinsant registered singles wins a season ago.
