COLLEGE STATION- The No. 23 Texas A&M women’s basketball team returns to action on Saturday, as they host the Washington Huskies at 7 p.m. Prior to the game, a banner honoring Texas A&M Head Coach Gary Blair’s induction to the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame will be unveiled.

A&M has met Washington just twice, splitting the meetings in a 2005-06 & 2006-07 home-and-home. The Huskies scored 65 points in each game, but lost in 2005 and won in 2006. The Aggies have won nine straight games against the current members of the Pac-12, including the 2011 NCAA Final Four game against Stanford.
Washington (2-2) enters the game after defeating Houston on Wednesday, and is coming off back-to-back postseason appearances. The Huskies are led by first-year head coach Mike Neighbors, who was the Director of Basketball Operations for Gary Blair when the duo was at Arkansas. As a program, the Huskies have made 16 NCAA Tournaments, and advanced to the Elite Eight in 2001.
The Aggies (5-2) have played very well in two games at Reed Arena this season, winning by an average total of 34 points per game. A&M shoots 47.6% against the friendly backdrop of Reed Arena, and are holding opponents to a measly 21.5% from the field during home games.
After facing Washington, the Aggies head to No. 10 Penn State on Dec. 15, and return home to Reed Arena on Dec. 17 to host Nicholls State at a special 11 a.m. tip time.
