COLLEGE STATION- Courtney Walker was named to the Preseason All-SEC First Team, according to a vote of the leagues’ women’s basketball coaches. The Aggies were voted to finish in a tie for fifth in the league in the same poll.

Walker was a SEC All-Freshman Team selection a year ago, and is the Aggies’ leading returning scorer after averaging 10.4 points per game in 2012-13. During Texas A&M’s run to the SEC Tournament Championship, Walker increased her scoring to 13.0 points per game and was named to the All-SEC Tournament team.

The Aggies open the 2013-14 campaign on Nov. 11 at North Texas. Reed Arena hosts the Aggies’ home opener on Nov. 13 at 7 p.m. against Prairie View A&M.
