TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Texas A&M sophomore wide receiver Mike Evans was named to the watch list for the Biletnikoff Award, which is given annually to the nation’s top collegiate wide receiver by the Tallahassee Quarterback Club.

Evans, from Galveston, Texas, earned Freshman All-Southeastern Conference honors after a strong debut season in the maroon and white in 2012. Evans set freshman standards for catches and receiving yards while leading the team with 82 catches for 1,105 yards. Evans ranked No. 3 in the SEC in both statistical categories. Evans had three 100-yard receiving games as a freshman and he logged four or more catches in every game.

It was the second watch list appearance of the preseason for Evans, who was previously named to the Maxwell Award list.
