COLLEGE STATION, Texas Texas A&M’s Ty Dunlap was an honorable mention selection to the Division I PING All-American teams that were announced by the organization on Thursday.

Dunlap, a sophomore from Westlake, Texas, came on strong during the final weeks of spring season to finish under par at both of the Aggies’ postseason tournaments. After recovering from a mid-season injury, Dunlap returned to the A&M line-up at the NCAA Tempe Regional where he carded a three-round score of two-under par to finish in a tie for 17th and help the Aggies advance to NCAA Championship for the sixth consecutive year.

Continuing his strong play at the NCAA Championship, Dunlap flirted with the leaderboard’s top spot before ending stroke play as the Aggies’ top finisher in a tie for eighth place at five-under par. Dunlap’s effort helped continue an impressive run of success for the A&M men’s golf program, which now stands out as nation’s only team to have finished in the top 15 each of the last six seasons.

For the year, Dunlap held a 73.23 scoring average in 10 events while carding 13 rounds of par or lower and posting five top-20 finishes.
