COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The Texas A&M men's golf team is back in action this weekend as it participates in the Don Puckette National Invitational Tournament in Tucson, Ariz.
The event will be held at the Omni Tucson National Golf Club and will tee off with 36 holes on Saturday before concluding with the tournament's final 18 holes on Sunday.
Texas A&M, which enters the weekend ranked 27th in the Golfweek/Sagarin rankings, is returning to the links for its fourth event of the spring semester after most recently finishing in 14th place at the Southern Highlands Collegiate Masters in Las Vegas last weekend.
Seven of the schools in the tournament's 16-team field are currently ranked in the top 50 of the Golfweek/Sagarin poll. Joining A&M on the course this weekend will be No. 19 Arkansas, Hawaii, Long Beach State, Nevada, No. 3 New Mexico, New Mexico State, No. 13 Oklahoma State, San Diego, San Diego State, No. 18 SMU, No. 8 TCU, No. 37 UNLV, UTEP, Wyoming and tournament host Arizona.
Representing the Aggies at the event will be seniors Cameron Peck and Drew Evans along with junior Johannes Veerman and sophomores Ty Dunlap and Greg Yates. Additionally, freshman Ben Crancer will participate in the tournament as an individual.
