COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The Texas A&M swimming and diving team finished day four with 517.5 points at the Southeastern Conference Swimming & Diving Championships on Friday at the Student Recreation Natatorium.

The No. 17 Aggies stand in seventh place after the day. The standings put No. 5 Florida (1038), No. 6 Auburn (823.5), No. 11 Georgia (679), No. 12 Tennessee (570.5), Missouri (531), and LSU (530.5) ahead of the Aggies, and rounding out the rankings are Kentucky (367.5) and Alabama (302).

"We knew coming in that this was going to be a tough day for us," Aggie head coach Jay Holmes said. "We knew yesterday was when we had to make our move because we didn't have a lot of depth today. We hope that tomorrow is a lot better day."

Starting off the day, junior Omar Enriquez and senior Max Lewis made team all-time top ten times in the 200 fly. Both swimmers made NCAA ‘B' times, with Enriquez at 1:46.44 and Lewis at 1:46.95.

"The swim of the day was Max Lewis," Holmes said. "He had a surgery early this year and missed training for six weeks. He has had a time on his mind all year long of 1:46.9, and even after missing training he did it just like he had planned. As a senior to go out making his goal time was a lot of fun for our team."

In the 100 back, freshman Alexandros Theocharidis came through with 16 points for the team. Theocharidis made an NCAA ‘B' time of 47.81 which is a career best and moves him up on the team's all-time top ten for the event.

"I'm glad Alexandros was here," Holmes said, "and as a freshman he is only going to get better. He knows we need him to be quick and I think he is going to be a really good swimmer for us."

The SEC Championships return to action on for the final day Saturday with the prelims at 10 a.m. and the finals at 6 p.m.
