COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Texas A&M looks to continue its winning ways with a matchup this Friday against the Southern Jaguars at Reed Arena at 7 p.m.  The Aggies are coming off a win last Tuesday against Liberty 70-55. Friday night will be the first time Texas A&M and Southern have faced off on the hardwood.

The game will be the first for the two teams in this weekend's A&M Classic, Marshall and Marquette will face off at 4:30 p.m. Friday. Marquette and Texas A&M will compete on Sunday afternoon with Southern and Marshall meeting up earlier in the day.

Last Tuesday against Liberty freshman Courtney Walker was the first freshman in the Gary Blair era at Texas A&M to score at least 20 points in consecutive games. Walker was efficient from the floor making eight of her 13 shot attempts in 34 minutes of play. Junior Kelsey Bone continued her strong early season play with 12 points and eight rebounds in the winning effort.

Southern is coming off a loss to South Alabama 63-41 at home on Tuesday night. The Jaguars had two players score in double figures, senior Lechell Rush scored 12 and junior Adrien Rush  added 10 points.   On the season junior guard Kendra Coleman is leading the Jaguars in scoring at over 11 per game, despite not starting a game yet this year.
