BRYAN, Texas - The No. 4 Equestrian team (4-2, 0-2 SEC) defeated Fresno State (0-3), 17-6, Saturday at the Brazos County Expo Complex.

The Aggies continued their Most-Outstanding-Player (MOP) domination, sweeping the four awards on the day. Emily Williams (equitation over fences), Paige Russell (equitation on the flat), Caroline Ammons (horsemanship) and Ashley Skold (reining) were named the best rider in their individual events. A&M has won 15 of a possible 20 MOP awards on the season.

The day began with over fences and horsemanship competing simultaneously. Over fences rode to a 3-3 draw with the Bulldogs, including Williams' fifth win of the season for a perfect 5-0 record. Wins by Carey Nowacek, Ammons and Molli Jacobs in horsemanship got the Aggies off to a good start before a Laura Brainard victory sealed the deal and gave A&M a 7-5 lead on the day.

The flat team gave Fresno State no chance, sweeping the event 6-0. Russell earned the highest score in the event, a season second-best 85, in addition to her first MOP of the season. Russell owns both of the Aggies' top two scores this season.

A 4-1 reining win secured the 17-6 win over the Bulldogs. Laura Sumrall, Logan Pluhar, Skold and Becca Murray each took victories in reining.

The Aggies are now 4-2 on the season and will compete next at the American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) Collegiate Horsemanship Challenge in Oklahoma City on Wednesday, Nov. 14.
