After spending three seasons working with head coach Kevin Sumlin at the University of Houston, Kenneth Bell is in his first season as the Director of Recruiting for the Texas A&M football program.
Bell is responsible for the day-to-day recruiting operations. This includes coordinating all official and unofficial visits, developing seasonal recruiting campaigns, assisting with the recruiting budget and monitoring and updating a recruiting program for the Texas A&M staff. He also assists with the logistics of team travel and the operation of summer camps.
Last season, Bell worked as the offensive quality control at the University of Houston. In addition to finishing the year 13-1, the Cougars offense lead the NCAA in passing offense, total offense and scoring offense. Bell’s responsibilities included video breakdown and analysis of each week’s opponent, maintaining updated information of potential recruits, and assisting in the day-to-day operation of the football program.
Prior to the 2011 season, Bell worked for Houston Cougar football program as an operations assistant. In that role, he was monitored and kept records of the football budget and expenses, assisted with the logistics of travel, and prepared weekly scouting reports for the players and coaches.
Bell graduated from the University of Houston Summa Cum Laude with a bachelor of business administration in Accounting in May 2011. The Houston, Texas native recently married the former Candace Gaspard.
