The Aggie women (16-4, 7-2 Big 12) are the No. 3 seed and open against No. 6 seed Kansas State Friday at 3 p.m. A&M finished the regular season tied with Baylor and Texas for second place but will be the No. 3 seed based on the score differential among the three tied teams and A&M's win against Texas in head-to-head competition.
Texas Tech claimed it first-ever Big 12 regular season championship and will be the No. 1 seed. Six-time defending tournament champion Baylor is the No. 2 seed.
Texas will be the No. 4 seed, followed by No. 5 Oklahoma State and No. 6 Kansas State. No. 7 Oklahoma takes on No. 8 Missouri in first round action on Thursday at 10 a.m., as will No. 9 Iowa State and No. 10 Kansas.
The Aggie men are the No. 5 seed in the men's bracket and open against No. 4 Texas Friday at noon. The winner will take on No. 1 seed Oklahoma Saturday at 11 a.m.
