Dear Texas A&M Student-Athlete:

Welcome to a new year in A&M Athletics! We are happy you are here and ready to begin your pursuit of excellence. It is a very exciting time at Texas A&M and you should be proud to be an Aggie! You will be spending a lot of your time at the Nye Academic Center as well as at your respective competition and training facilities.

Your efforts to subscribe to the principles and policies of the athletics department will help you achieve success as a student-athlete. The entire coaching staff, athletics administrators and all professional and support staff are invested in your welfare and are here to assist you in achieving success.

Please take time to read and become familiar with the Student-Athlete Handbook. I am confident that you, too, will make an equal commitment to assist us in meeting the challenges and attaining success in the future.

Thanks and Gig ‘em!

Eric Hyman
Director of Athletics

For many years Aggies have followed a Code of Honor, which is stated in this very simple verse:

An Aggie does not lie, cheat, or steal

or tolerate those who do.
