COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Head Coach Jo Evans and the Texas A&M softball team have released the Aggies’ fall exhibition schedule, which includes eight home games and a best-of-five Maroon & White Series in November. All games will be played at the Aggie Softball Complex and are free to the public.
The action begins on Wednesday, Nov. 5, when Tyler Junior College comes to College station for a 5 p.m. doubleheader. Later in the week, the Aggies will battle former conference rival Texas Tech in a Saturday, Nov. 8 doubleheader set for 2 p.m.
Blinn College is the only team on Texas A&M’s 2014 fall schedule that was also on the Aggies’ 2013 exhibition slate. The Buccaneers will make the short trip to the Aggie Softball Complex for a 5 p.m. doubleheader on Tuesday, Nov. 11.
A 4 p.m. doubleheader on Friday, Nov. 14 vs. Galveston College marks the final two games of the Aggies’ fall opponent play before the team enters its annual Maroon & White Series.
The best-of-five intra-squad scrimmage is set to begin Monday, Nov. 17 and will continue with one game Tuesday and one game Wednesday. If a side has not reached three wins after Wednesday’s game, a pair of if-necessary games are penciled in for Thursday, Nov. 20. Times for the Maroon & White Series are to be announced.
The No. 22 (final RPI) Texas A&M softball team ended the 2014 season in the NCAA Tournament for the 25th time in program history. To learn more about Aggie softball, log on to 12thMan.com and follow @AggieSoftball on Twitter.
