COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M volleyball’s incoming freshman class received honorable mention in Volleyball Magazine’s list of the nation’s top 10 recruiting classes, announced today. A&M is the only Texas school mentioned in the listing, which recognized 15 classes as honorable mention in addition to the top-10 ranked teams.

High school All-Americans Stephanie Aiple (6-1, setter, Round Rock, Texas/Round Rock High School), and Ashlie Reasor (6-1, opposite hitter, San Antonio, Texas/Reagan High School) headline the Aggies’ six-member incoming freshman class, which was ranked 17th in the nation by earlier this year. Kiara McGee (5-11, outside hitter, San Antonio/Taft H.S.), Amy Nettles (5-4, libero, San Antonio/Churchill H.S.), Olivia Thorpe (5-11, outside hitter, Austin, Texas/Lake Travis H.S.) and Uche “Debby” Ukadike (6-0, middle blocker, Mesquite, Texas/West Mesquite H.S.) complete the heralded class.

Texas A&M head coach Laurie Corbelli, who is entering her 22nd season at the helm of the Aggies, returns 10 letterwinners – including four starters -- from last year’s team that went 19-12 and advanced to the second round of the NCAA tournament. The team reports to campus August 8 and plays its season opener August 29, taking on Tulane on the first day of the Texas A&M Invitational at Reed Arena.
