Women's Basketball Promotions: Feb. 23 vs. Kentucky

No. 16 Texas A&M hosts No. 15 Kentucky in the fourth ranked matchup at Reed Arena this season in a game broadcast by ESPN2 on Sunday at 1 p.m. The Aggies have won 14 of 16 games, including their last four games entering this game.

BOOK-MARK YOUR CALENDARS

Over 8,000 bookmarks featuring Texas A&M Women’s Basketball players were distributed to elementary school-children in the local community to promote the importance of reading, and also serve as a free ticket to the game Sunday. For complete information, go here.

POSTERS, BOOKMARKS FOR FIRST 1,000

1,000 Texas A&M University Libraries posters featuring the Aggie Women’s Basketball team and 1,000 bookmarks featuring the Aggie Women’s basketball team will be distributed pre-game.

JUMP ROPE PERFORMANCE

High Velocity Jump Rope Team from Montgomery, Texas will perform at halftime.

3-POINT SHOOTOUT OF THE LEES / I HEART AGGIE HOOPS DECALS

At halftime, a couple of former Texas A&M basketball players, women’s basketball player Katy Pounds-Lee ’08 and men’s basketball player Logan Lee ’07, take part in a 3-point shootout for martial bragging rights. Fans of the winning gender receive an I Heart Aggie Hoops Decal.

KID’S COURT

Prior to the game children are invited to in “Kid’s Court” inside the women’s practice gym beginning one hour prior to tipoff. Kids will have the chance to shoot baskets or participate in poster making, face painting and other activities.

Kids and parents can access “Kid’s Court” by entering the Cox-McFerrin Center for Aggie Basketball from the arena concourse and following the signage for “Kid’s Court”.

SPORTS PASS SPECIAL

Texas A&M students who have an All-Sports pass can bring a fellow student into the game for free. This promotion will run during all remaining home games of the 2013-14 season.
