No. 17 Texas A&M heads to Auburn, Ala., to face the Tigers in an SEC contest Thursday evening at 5 p.m., an hour up from the originally scheduled start time of 6 p.m.
Fans can listen to the game on the Texas A&M Sports Network, which is broadcast on 1150 AM KZNE locally in Bryan-College Station. A video stream is available to subscribers through the Auburn Athletic Department here.
The Aggies have only lost once since Dec. 28 (9-1 in that span), and have started 6-1 in SEC play. A&M is tied for first place in the SEC standings, and has the tiebreaker on the other co-leader, South Carolina. A&M is 3-0 on the road in SEC play this season, and 5-1 overall on the road.
The Aggies have been paced by the fine play of Courtney Walker over the past two weeks, as she is averaging 18.8 points, with an SEC Player of the Week honor (Jan. 20) in that time frame. Walker has scored 20+ points in each of her last two games.
Auburn comes into the game having lost five of their last six games, but registered a near-miss against then-No. 10 Kentucky in their last home game (Jan. 19), falling 73-71. The Tigers, who reached the quarterfinals of the WNIT last season, are led by Tyrese Tanner, who leads the squad with 16.2 points per game.
After this game, the Aggies continue on this two-game road trip to No. 16 Vanderbilt on Feb. 2. Tip is set for 1 p.m. with a broadcast on Fox Sports Networks. The Aggies return home to BTHO Breast Cancer on Feb. 9 as No. 14 LSU visits Reed Arena at 1:30 p.m., also broadcast by Fox Sports Networks.
