COLLEGE STATION --- The Texas A&M women’s swimming and diving team will be seeking to close out an undefeated fall schedule when the Aggies host Rice in a 12 noon dual meet at the Student Recreation Natatorium on Friday.
The second-ranked Aggies have already notched dual meet victories over Southeastern Conference foes Missouri and Vanderbilt and non-conference opponent Texas, as well as a dominating team victory in the Art Adamson Invitational. Friday’s meet will be the Aggies’ last competition until the Aggies take on 2013 SEC team champion Georgia on Jan. 10 and SMU on Jan. 11.
In the team’s most recent completion, the Aggies earned multiple NCAA “A” cuts and dozens of “B” and set two school records at their home fall invitational, the Art Adamson Invitational. Guaranteeing their individual spots at the NCAA Championships with “A” cuts at the Adamson Invitational were seniors Cammile Adams, Breeja Larson and Paige Miller and junior Lili Ibanez. The Aggies’ foursome of senior Erica Dittmer, junior Sammie Bosma, Larson and Ibanez took down the school record in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:28.02) and Miller lowered her own school record in the 100 backstroke to 51.36.
