COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Texas A&M equestrian senior Laura Brainard was named the National Collegiate Equestrian Association (NCEA) Horsemanship Most Outstanding Player (MOP) for the month of October.

Brainard (Weatherford, Texas) was 2-0 in October with wins over No. 3 Auburn and No. 8 TCU. She was the horsemanship MOP in each meet, completing a three-MOP streak.

Brainard is the first Aggie to take NCEA rider-of-the month-honors since A&M joined the league last season.

The No. 4 Aggies return to the arena on Feb. 2 at Oklahoma State. To learn more about Texas A&M equestrian, log on to AggieAthletics.com and follow @AggieEquestrian on Twitter.
