Santacroce Up Close

Favorites:

Favorite Aggie tradition: 12th Man, most supportive student section in the nation, and I'm blessed to be able to not only play in front of them but to be apart of it when watching other sports compete.

Favorite class subject: Math has always come really easy to me

Favorite quote: "Your talent is God's gift to you. What you do with it is your gift back to God"

Favorite athlete (any sport): Troy Polamalu, because he plays with such passion and never gives up

Favorite professional sports team (any sport): Pittsburgh Steelers, my dad is from Pennsylvania so I've been raised to wear the black and yellow

Favorite website: twitter.com

Favorite type of music: R&B/Hip-Hop

Favorite food: Steak and potatoes

Favorite TV show: Jersey Shore, probably the most entertaining show I've ever watched.

Favorite book: Angels and Demons by Dan Brown

Favorite movie: Billy Madison

Favorite part about the sport of tennis: How psychologically demanding it is. Most people think it's a one on one sport between you and your opponent, but in reality it's a one-on-one sport between you and yourself. Tennis requires so much thought and you cannot give just half your mind, because that's more than half the battle. We can all hit forehands and backhands, but it's a matter of who is ready to go out there and want it more.

Favorite sport to play other than tennis: I used to play competitive soccer player for Challenge, so if I had to play any other sport I would for sure be playing soccer.

Favorite summer job: Well I've only had one summer job and I was an intern at an Oil & Gas Company in Houston. I wouldn't say it was necessarily fun but I learned a great deal of information and got a chance to network and gain experience.

Favorite piece of advice: "Look Up." I have it written on my shoes and I have three reasons why it motivates me and keeps me positive.

Miscellaneous:

The person who has had the greatest impact on my athletic career: Both my parents have always pushed me to be everything I can be. They always tell me, "Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard, but if you have both you're unbeatable."

The accomplishment (athletic or non-athletic) that I am most proud of: given the chance to play for the Texas A&M Women's Tennis Team; it's an experience that can never be taken away from me

The person I would most like to meet: Vince Lombardi

People have told me that I look like (name of celebrity): The Israeli model Bar Refaeli

When I was little, I dreamed of being a: a celebrity because I always loved being the center of attention

Something I've always wanted to do but haven't: go skydiving, I love to live on the dangerous side (haha)

The reality show I would most like to participate in is: Any of MTV's shows like the Gauntlet, Inferno, Fresh Meat, because I love to compete and I think I would be able to beat all the girls in any athletic event.

Few people know that I: even though I love to wear heels and dress up, I will and always have been a tomboy at heart. When I was little I refused to wear my hair down, never wore a dress or skirt because I was wearing my adidas, Nike, or Umbro outfits, and loved to get my hands dirty.

My best non-athletic talent: I love to paint. I paint on my spare time, which is very rare, but when I do have time it relaxes me for I love to do creative things.

My most prized possession: The scrapbook that I made of my life. I haven't updated it since college but I spent a whole summer working on it and it has to be the most prized possession that I own because you can't ever replace pictures.

My dream job is: I would love to have my own practice as a plastic surgeon somewhere in the Beverly Hills area.

Being at A&M has taught me: Time management, how to keep my priorities straight, teamwork, and that everyday shouldn't be wasted for there are always opportunities to grow and improve.

After I graduate, I plan to: Go to medical school or get my masters
